Shayi re-elected as ANC Norman Mashabane Region Chairperson

Mopani District Municipality Mayor, Pule Shayi has been re-elected as the African National Congress (ANC) Norman Mashabane Region Chairperson in Limpopo.

Shayi beat the region’s former secretary, Goodman Mtileni by a large margin at the ANC’s Elective Conference currently under way outside Tzaneen.

The elections started last night and ran into the early hours of today.

She has been re-elected for the third term as regional chairperson.

The Greater Letaba Municipality Mayor, Dagma Mamanyoha has been elected the region’s Deputy Chairperson, while Maruleng Municipality Mayor, Tsheko Musolwa has beaten Mopani District Municipal Spokesperson, Odas Ngobeni for the position of Deputy Secretary.

Ba-Phalaborwa Local Municipality Mayor, Merriam Malatjie has lost her bid to be the region’s treasurer.

Sonia Ngobeni has been elected as the regional Secretary.
