Zuma urges the youth to work hard to attain economic freedom

Umkhonto we Sizwe leader, former President Jacob Zuma, has urged the country’s youth to work hard to attain economic freedom.

In his Christmas message, which was delivered in isiZulu, the leader of the official opposition, encouraged young people to refrain from substance abuse.

He also took stock of the party’s achievements in the two years of its existence.

“We wish that the youth of our country, which is vibrant and eager to achieve economic freedom in our lifetime to work hard to achieve this dream. I also want to urge young people to refrain from substance abuse, as they are tomorrow’s future,” says Zuma.

Meanwhile, the Freedom Front Plus says the true meaning of Christmas must be amplified this season, in the light – it says – of threats to the Christian values and faith.

The party joined other MPs in wishing South Africans Christmas and festive holiday season.

Party leader Corne Mulder says while Christmas is a reminder of love, grace, care and peace, this is changing world wide.

Rise Mzansi leader, Songezo Zibi, has called on South Africans not to abuse alcohol over the festive season.

He urged South Africans not to drink and drive, and to ensure that celebrations are not marred by alcohol abuse.
