Wouter Kellerman bags top honours at Grammy Awards for ‘Triveni’

South Africans have taken centre stage at this year’s 67th Grammy Awards.

South African flautist, composer, producer and now three-time Grammy winning artist, Wouter Kellerman, has been honoured with a Grammy Award in the Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album category for his latest album, Triveni.

Comedian Trevor Noah hosted the prestigious event, marking his fifth consecutive year at the helm.

The Soweto Gospel Choir also represented the nation at the awards ceremony, and was nominated for “Best Global Music Performance” for their song, “Sunlight to my Soul”.

The awards ceremony took place yesterday in Los Angeles in the United States.
