The Western Cape Department of Mobility says they are continuing to monitor six closed taxi routes in the Somerset West area.
The 30-day route closures are between Mfuleni, Somerset West, Khayelitsha, Nomzamo and Lwandle.
The closures came into effect following the killing of at least eight people in shooting incidents.
Department’s Spokesperson Muneera Allie says there have been no incidents of violence reported over the past week.
She says they have, however, added additional buses on the routes due to an increase in commuters.
