Portrait of thespian and actor, Presley Chweneyagae.
Actor Warren Masemola has given an emotional tribute at the funeral of his friend, Presley Chweneyagae, in Pretoria on Saturday.
Speaking at the Akasia Community Hall, Masemola reveals that he and Chweneyagae shared a deep bond, saying his friendship with the late actor was genuine, and he loved him deeply. “Presley and I fought a lot,” he adds.
Masemola says they fought about a lot of things, including love, money, families, and children.
“But we also enjoyed kissing so much,” he explains.
Chweneyagae, known to many as ‘Cobrizi’, was famously known for his role in the Oscar-winning movie Tsotsi.
Masemola says he was alone at home when he saw the news of Chweneyagae’s death on television. “I was shattered,” he recounts.
Friends, family, and industry colleagues flocked to the Akasia Hall to bid farewell to Chweneyagae, who died last week following a short illness.
