A 54-year-old Pastor arrested for allegedly raping two children is expected to apply for bail in the Senwabarwana Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo on Monday.
He was arrested in January for allegedly raping two minors in the area.
The Pastor, who cannot be named to protect the children, is facing another charge of sexually assaulting a minor in the Seshego Magistrate’s Court.
The accused Pastor is expected to proceed with his bail application at the Senwabarwana Magistrate’s Court.
In a separate matter, the Seshego Magistrate’s Court heard on Thursday that the Pastor sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl who was staying with him and his family between 2023 and 2025. The court heard that he used to touch the girl’s breasts and private parts.
The investigating officer in the Seshego case, Ishmael Matjeka, is opposing bail. Matjeka says the accused is a flight risk as he has another church branch in Botswana.
