The Kruger National Park is teeming with day visitors and other tourists who took advantage of the SANParks open week.
Most national parks offer free day visitor access during this week to encourage South Africans to explore their natural heritage.
Long queues formed at the Kruger Gate on Wednesday morning.
Some people were turned back because the park had reached its quota.
Some of the visitors expressed their frustrations as they were not allowed to have the experience.
“I am so angry and frustrated I was here at the gate unfortunately no one was assisting me, so I am not happy with this service”.
“Frustrations are too much, I was around here at 07:30 in the morning but the queue was very long and it was moving very slowly so now they have cut it saying we are no longer going inside, we must go back”.
