Three suspects have been arrested following a mass shooting incident on R59 near Meyerton, south of Johannesburg.
Police have confirmed that six people where shot and killed after the minibus they were travelling in was ambushed by a group of suspects.
According to police, the victims as well as the suspects were Lesotho nationals.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear at this stage.
Gauteng Police Deputy Commissioner Major-General Fred Kekana, “All three suspects were arrested and scene is still on and our forensics team is still on the ground processing the scene and that the job is done thoroughly to the expected level. All the deceased are Lesotho including the injured are Lesotho nationals, six of those who passed on also were shot at.”
