Traffic has come to a standstill on the R72 between Kenton On Sea and Alexandria in the Eastern Cape as a result of a veld fire that erupted, earlier on Wednesday.
Emergency services are on the scene as fire fighters are working to extinguish the blaze.
This is the second time this are has faced veld fire, with the first successfully extinguished, on Tuesday.
During this heat season, the Eastern Cape continues to face a number of veld fires, with the N2 between Gqeberha and Jeffreys Bay also experiencing sporadic fires that forced the closure of the road, on Monday and Tuesday.
