Vaal scholar driver Ayanda Dludla’s case postponed to 22 April

The bail application of scholar transport driver, Ayanda Dludla, has been postponed to the 22nd of April at the Vanderbijlpark Magistrates Court in the Vaal.

This will allow for the prosecution team to finalise charges.

Dludla has been behind bars in connection with the death of 14 learners in January when a minibus scholar transport vehicle driven by him collided with a truck in Vanderbijlpark.

Dludla’s Lawyer, Reward Nxumalo, says the finalisation of charges would help them get clarity on whether they would be applying for bail on a murder charge or culpable homicide.
