Both pilots in the two aircraft that disappeared on Wednesday have been killed.
Both aircraft have been located. One of them was found in the west of Howick in KwaZulu-Natal.
The search team involved the SAPS and emergency services from the eThekwini Municipality.
The Aeronautical Rescue Coordination Centre earlier confirmed the death of one of the pilots while the search continued for the second plane.
The centre’s Gregory Critchley earlier said, “Both aircraft then failed to arrive at their destination. So, the Aeronautical Rescue Coordination Centre activated the search and rescue teams in the KwaZulu-Natal province to locate both aircraft. Just before 6:00 last night, we located the first aircraft, and it was found that the pilot, the sole occupant, was very injured.”
