UEFA to decide Israel’s fate in soccer competitions

European football’s governing body, UEFA, is set to vote later Tuesday on whether to suspend Israel and its clubs from international competitions.

This include, the Champions League and World Cup qualifiers.

Activists across Europe have called for Israel’s isolation, accusing it of committing genocide in Gaza.

The campaign has gained momentum in recent months, turning football into a new battleground for political pressure.

In response, the Israel Football Association issued a strongly worded statement, accusing supporters of the ban of hypocrisy and anti-Semitism.
