Fire incidents in the Witzenberg area.
The Cape Winelands District Municipality’s (CWDM) Fire Services says the two fires that started in the Witzenberg area on Saturday have been contained.
Municipal spokesperson Jo-Anne Otto says this is despite difficult conditions including strong winds.
She says the fire on the Tulbagh side has been fully contained, while the one in Kluitjieskraal still has a small patch burning high up in the mountains.
Otto says firefighting crews will remain on site.
