Police have arrested two suspects on the Cape Flats for being in possession of firearms and ammunition.
Spokesperson, Wesley Twigg, says officers confiscated items, including a pistol with 14 rounds of ammunition, when they searched premises on Brown’s Farm in Phillipi, and that an elderly man was arrested.
Twigg says in Elsies River, officers seized a firearm found in the possession of a 19-year-old suspect.
The suspects are expected to appear in court once charged.
