Two cousins accused of murdering N Cape woman abandon bail bid

Two cousins accused of murdering a 32-year-old De Aar woman in the Northern Cape have abandoned their bail application.

Aphiwe and Dief Adams allegedly killed 32-year-old Litwina Johnson and buried her remains in a shallow grave.

The deceased was allegedly last seen in the company of her boyfriend Aphiwe Adams in April.

Following months of police investigations her remains were unearthed last week.

The cousins face charges of murder and defeating the ends of justice.

Anna Viljoen is the aunt of the deceased woman.

“I’ll never forget Litwina. Whenever I have to go to the hospital to fetch my pills, I would always pass by this veld where she was sleeping.

I did not even know this is where she was buried all this time. Litwina was a very quiet person, I had never heard here being rude in front of us at all.”
