Two suspects have been killed during a shootout with police at KwaMashu on Monday morning.
It’s alleged that police investigations into recent armed robberies led them to a house in B-section.
KwaZulu-Natal Hawks spokesperson Simphiwe Mhlongo says the suspects opened fire on the police and a shootout ensued.
“We can confirm that two suspects were fatally wounded during a shootout with police at KwaMashu B-section. One police man was also shot and injured. He was taken to hospital for medical attention. The crime scene is still active,” adds Mhlongo.
