Twelve people who died in horrific crash to be laid to rest in Giyani

The 12 people who lost their lives in a horrific collision involving two heavy-duty trucks and a minibus taxi will this Saturday morning be laid to rest in a mass funeral at Tiyani village outside Giyani in Limpopo.

The mass funeral service will be held at a local sports ground.

The members of the International Assemblies of God, Tiyani branch, were killed on the R81 at Ga-Sekgopo between Mooketsi and Polokwane last Sunday. They were travelling back home after attending a church service at Sebayeng village outside Polokwane.

Premier Phophi Ramathuba is expected to join the bereaved families and community members to pay their last respects during the mass funeral.

Ramathuba will be accompanied by other government officials and municipal authorities.

Church members, businesses and traditional leaders are also expected to attend.
