The Tshwane Mayor and her mayoral committee briefed the media in Pretoria, on the City’s service delivery milestones since the Mayor took office.
The achievements include, slightly reducing Tshwane’s bloated Eskom Bill and writing off about R4 billion debt of residents and businesses who can’t pay their municipal bills.

“Alongside our efforts to table a fully funded budget we have prioritized, keeping tariffs as fair and affordable as possible ensuring that resident are not burdened with unreasonable increases the proposed adjustments are as follows; for property rates we are proposing an induction of four percent which we introduce to cushion the impact of increased property values under the new general election role, electricity we at 12 percent increase which is kept below Eskom’s 12,7 bulk tariff increase.”
