Traffic volumes increase on Mpumalanga’s major roads

1 minute

The authorities in Mpumalanga say traffic volumes have started to increase on most of the major roads including the N4 as many residents return from their holiday.

They say law enforcement officers are visible on all the roads to ensure compliance.

Over 20 000 motorists have allegedly violated traffic laws since the beginning of last month.

Community, Safety, Security and Liaison Department’s spokesperson Moeti Mmusi, “We are expecting traffic to pick up on most of the roads, remember some of our roads include the N3, the one that connects KwaZulu-Natal and we are expecting to continue piling up over the weekend, particular Sunday.”

“We also expect the N4 to be very busy, moving from Lebombo eastwards towards the west where most of the workers end off their holidays.”
