The Kimberley Family Violence, Child Protection, and Sexual Offences Unit is investigating an alleged rape case against a high-ranking official in the Department of Correctional Service stationed in the Kimberley area of the Northern Cape.
It is still not clear when an alleged rape happened but the case involves a female Correctional Service employee who is a complainant.
SAPS Provincial spokesperson Molefi Shemane confirms the case.
“The Kimberley Family Violence, Child Protection, and Sexual Offences Unit is investigating an alleged rape case. The investigation has been finalised, and the docket has been sent to the senior public prosecutor for a decision. No arrest has been made,” says Shemane.
