Tickets for the highly anticipated Soweto Derby between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates at the 90 000 capacity FNB stadium on 28 February have sold out in record time.
Demand was overwhelming, with online tickets snapped up in less than two hours and tickets at retail outlets in less than a day.
A thrilling encounter is expected given the strong performances of both teams in the Betway Premiership and Chiefs’ impressive run in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Pirates are currently top of the log, three points clear of defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns, with Amakhosi third, a further two points back.
