Copper cables in a vehicle
Three men aged between 30 and 64 have been arrested in connection with theft of eThekwini Municipality’s electricity infrastructure in KwaZulu-Natal.
According to the municipality, the trio pretended to be municipal contractors and used a vehicle bearing the name ‘Isithebe Electrical’.
They were allegedly found in possession of two sealed drums of electric cables and brand-new streetlight poles.
The suspects are expected to appear in court soon facing charges of stolen property, fraud, and false impersonation.
