A crime scene were a shooting happen cordoned off.
Police have confirmed another taxi violence-related shooting in which three people were killed at the Zonkizizwe taxi rank in Vosloorus in eastern Johannesburg.
Police say a group of unknown people driving a white BMW vehicle randomly shot at bystanders at the rank.
The deceased have been identified as taxi drivers. Two passengers were injured and taken to hospital.
Gauteng Police spokesperson Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi says, “No suspects arrested and the police are investigating a case of murder with three counts and attempted murder with two counts.”
In another shooting, four people were killed and three others injured at Jeppestown taxi rank. The incident is believed to be linked to two rival taxi associations.
The three injured people have been transported to hospital.
