Three people have died on the N4 outside Rustenburg, North West, following a crash involving a fuel tanker and a cash-in-transit van.
The crash happened this morning, and the N4 has since been closed.
Motorists travelling between Rustenburg and Pretoria are advised to use the R104.
Spokesperson for the department of public safety, Oshebeng Koonyaditsi says, “Motorists traveling between Rustenburg and Pretoria are warned they must use the R104 road. This follows a horrific accident that took place around 09h00 where a truck carrying fuel and a cash-in-transit vehicle collided. This led to both vehicles bursting into flames, and three people have died. The N4 is completely closed from Rustenburg right up to Kroondal. We appeal to all motorists to work with us.”
