Three people have died following a head-on collision between an SUV and a minibus taxi near Piet Retief in Mkhondo, Mpumalanga.
It is reported that 10 people sustained slight injuries, while one was seriously injured. The Mpumalanga Safety, Security and Liaison’s Transport Regulation Chief Director John Nkuna says another serious crash occurred on the R568 near Kwamhlanga.
“This morning we had one accident at R568 between Vaalbank and Kwamhlanga around at a bridge where a Kombi lost control and five people were seriously injured and 10 were slightly. Between Piet Retief and Ermelo, just about eight kilometers from Piet Retief towards Ermelo, there was a head-on collision between a Kombi again and a SUV vehicle and three people died on the scene.”
