Three bodies found in Mkhomazane River in Mpumalanga


Police in Elukwatini, Mpumalanga, have opened an inquest case following the recovery of three male bodies in the Mkhomazane River near the Songimvelo Nature Reserve.

The bodies have been identified to be those of Mandla Mthethwa, Washington Nyoni, and Johan Nyoni.

They were reportedly identified by one of the deceased’s girlfriend and another friend.

The trio are suspected to be illegal miners hailing from Zimbabwe.

Police say investigations into the cause of their deaths are underway.
