Third suspect nabbed in the community patrollers murder case.
A third suspect believed to be linked to the murder of six patrollers in the Marry Me informal settlement in Soshanguve, Pretoria, is expected to appear in the Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
The 27-year-old suspect is the third person to be arrested in connection with the tragic incident.
Two others who were initially arrested made their first appearance in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday last week on charges of possession of unlicensed firearms and live ammunition. They are due back in court on Tuesday.
The matter was held in camera as an identity parade is yet to be conducted and therefore, both accused cannot be identified.
Twelve patrollers were attacked while on patrol two weekends ago. Four died on the scene, while two others succumbed to their injuries in the hospital.
