The EFF Limpopo urges job opportunities for locals to be prioritised

The official opposition in Limpopo, the EFF, is calling on the Polokwane municipality to prioritize locals in job opportunities. This after reports that the municipality is employing foreign nationals.

Provincial EFF leader Lawrence Mapoulo is leading a protest march to the municipal offices to demand the resignation of Executive Mayor John Mpe and Municipal Manager Thuso Nemugumoni.

Mpe and Nemugumoni are accused of corruption and nepotism.

Mapoulo says that they will also submit CVs of unemployed qualified graduates to the municipal offices.

“We need the Polokwane municipality to make sure that all these tenders must be phased out and hire people that we know that our children went to school. They have made water and sanitation courses, construction and now they are at home as we speak. All of them will be bringing CVs so that the municipality hires them.”
