South Africa’s cricket captain, Temba Bavuma, has been named in the 15-man squad for the Proteas’ two-match Test series against India.
Bavuma returns to the side after missing the recent Pakistan Test series due to a calf strain.
The squad includes three frontline spinners in Keshav Maharaj, Simon Harmer and Senuran Muthusamy, while Kagiso Rabada and all-rounders Corbin Bosch, Marco Jansen and Wiaan Mulder provide pace options.
The bulk of the squad that drew the recent series against Pakistan has been retained.
The first Test against India will be played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata and starts on November 14.
