Handcuffs for arrest.
A 14-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a shooting that left a 31-year-old man dead and a four-year-old girl wounded in Saxonsea, Atlantis on the West Coast.
Police spokesperson Malcolm Pojie says the victim was on his way to his girlfriend on Wednesday when he was approached by a suspect who fired several shots, hitting him in the leg and head.
Pojie says the child was caught in the crossfire and sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
“The toddler was rushed to Red Cross hospital where she is in a critical, yet stable condition. The 14-year-old suspect appeared in the Atlantis Magistrate’s Court where bail was successfully opposed and denied. He remains in custody until his next court appearance.”
