Tatjana Smith celebrates after winning gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics Women’s 100m Breaststroke Final on 29 July 2024,
Multiple Olympic Gold medallist and swimmer Tatjana Smith is the biggest winner at the 2025 South African Sports Awards.
This after scooping two top accolades at the Sun City Superbowl last night.
Smith won the Sportswoman of the Year and the biggest one of the night, the Sport Star of the Year, for her performances at last year’s Paris Olympic Games.
She returned with a gold and silver medal from the breaststroke events.

Paralympic champion Simone Kruger also walked away with two awards; the Junior Sport Star of the Year and Sportswoman of the Year with a Disability Awards.
The 4×100 meters men’s relay team was voted Team of The Year, while Mpumelelo Mhlongo was crowned the Sportsman of The Year with a Disability.
