Mamelodi Sundowns have booked a place in the CAF Champions League final following a 1-1 draw against Al Ahly in Cairo on Friday.
Al Ahly grabbed the lead in the 23rd minutes through Taher Mohamed.
The Egyptians almost doubled the lead on the half-hour mark through a powerful shot at the near post by Ashour, but it was saved by Ronwen Williams.
There was a nervous moment for the host after the hour mark when Ribeiro went down in the area and warranted a check by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR), but the referee stood by his on-field decision of not awarding a penalty.
Masandawana were rewarded in added time when Yasser Ibrahim guided a snapshot by Iqraam Rayners into his own net, which gave the visitors an away goal in the 90th minute.
The South Africans held on for a 1-all draw and secured a spot in the final of the tournament on the away-goal rule.
