A 38-year-old man was fatally shot in Strandfontein on the Cape Flats, and another sustained a wound while sitting in a play park.
Police Spokesperson Wesley Twigg says the motive for the attack is unknown and no arrests have been made.
Twigg says, “A 38-year-old male was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel while a 40-year-old male was taken to a medical facility for medical treatment.”
He says, “ According to reports, the victims were sitting in the play park when a grey vehicle stopped and the occupants got out of the vehicle, opened fire on the victims before fleeing the scene. The motive for the attack forms part of the police investigation. Murder and attempted murder cases were registered for investigation.”
