Two-time defending Rugby World Cup Champions South Africa have received a very favorable draw for the 2027 World Cup in Australia.
The Springboks have been drawn in Group B along with Italy, Georgia and Romania.
They played Italy three times this year and Georgia once, winning all four of those encounters.
South Africa’s northern neighbor, Zimbabwe who’ll be playing in their first World Cup since 1991, are in Group F with England, Wales and Tonga.
Australia will play in the opening match in Perth and their opponents could be Bledisloe Cup rivals, New Zealand, they are both in Group A.
The draw was conducted in Sydney on Wednesday morning, while the fixtures will only be confirmed in February.
