Springboks to play against Pumas in Durban today.
Today’s fifth-round Rugby Championship showdown with Argentina in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, will also be the final match of the season for South Africa on home soil.
The Springboks are determined to give their fans something to shout about as they look to defend their Rugby Championship title.
Captain Siya Kolisi says the team also wants to win successive titles in the regional tournament for the first time in their history.
“We are both in the same playing ground — basically it is all about who is going to pitch up at the game. It is for us our last home game, the last time people of South Africa will see us, the last time our families will come. So it does add a bit of that. We still have to say thank you and everything by the way we perform, by the way we work on the field, and that is all that we can do. But Argentina is going to be bringing the same, and they are going to feel that. The pressure is on us because we are at home. We have to entertain, but we know what we need to do.”

Meanwhile, Prop Boan Venter will start in the number one jersey in place of Ox Nche, who was forced to withdraw from the team due to an injury. Venter was initially named on the replacement bench.
Flank Marco van Staden replaces Venter on the bench. He can also provide cover at hooker, while Jan-Hendrik Wessels will serve as the back-up prop and hooker.
The Springboks are currently second on the Rugby Championship log, just one point behind Australia, with two rounds to play.
The Wallabies clash with the All Blacks at Eden Park in Auckland on Saturday.
