The South African rugby team, Springboks.
The Springboks’ already packed 2026 international calendar, has just become a little busier.
The two-time defending World Cup champions will play Australia in an additional test match in Perth on the 27th of September.
That’s just two weeks after the conclusion of the four-match Greatest Rivalry Series between the Springboks and the All Blacks.
The extra test against the Wallabies will give coach Rassie Erasmus an opportunity to experiment with players ahead of the northern hemisphere leg of the Nations Championship later in the year, as well as next year’s World Cup in Australia.
The Springboks who are no strangers to Perth, will play Romania in a Pool match in the Western Australian capital during next year’s World Cup.
Rugby Australia has confirmed that the Wallabies will host the world champion Springboks on 27 September.
