Proteas Women celebrate a wicket during a ICC match.
South Africans have taken to social media to congratulate the Proteas Women for reaching the International Cricket Council final. The team lost the cup to India in a historic final at the Dr. DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Sunday.
This is India’s first time lifting the trophy.
The host nation claimed victory with 52 runs and the final score at 298/7 for India and 246 South Africa all out.
South Africans say they are proud of the Proteas despite the loss.
