A light bulb.
More than 1 000 Gauteng residents have been without electricity since the beginning of the week.
This follows an outage due to weather conditions – affecting several areas in the province including Roodepoort, Hursthill, Reuven and Randburg.
Power utility, City Power has dispatched its technicians to clear the backlog of outages.
“This is the first time in several months that we’ve actually reached three thousand outage calls. We are also appealing to our customers, that there should not be any panic, because we have now recalled some of the staff members that have been on so that they can also come back to assist, and they are also on site in several of the areas,” says City Power spokesperson Isaac Mangena.
