Six people including two children have been killed in a head on collision between two vehicles on the R57 between Petrus Steyn and Heilbron, in the Free State.
Emergency Medical Services spokesperson Sipho Towa says two injured people have been taken to nearby hospitals.
“Emergency services were activated to an accident on R57, on arrival they found it’s a head on collision between two light motor vehicles, four adults were unfortunately declared dead on the scene and they were trapped. There were also two kids that were declared dead on the scene, two other passengers suffered critical injuries, they have been transported to Tokollo Hospital.”
