Siwelele FC supporters hope for win to move team from bottom of log

Fans of Siwelele Football Club in the Free State say fireworks should be expected when the team lock horns with Marumo Gallants at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium in Rocklands, Bloemfontein, on Sunday afternoon.

This fixture marks the first Free State derby since 2019 after Bloemfontein Celtic sold its status, and Free State Stars was relegated from the Premier League.

Siwelele FC supporters’ national chairperson Pule Mabena says they are aiming for a win as they want to move from the bottom of the log.

“It is a Free State Derby, so we’re expecting fireworks and the Dr. Molemela stadium being full to the rafters. We know the supporters will come out in their numbers and the players will move from the bottom to at least the middle of the log.”
