Leader of the Afrika Mayibuye Movement Floyd Shivambu is seen addressing delegates during a consultation process on 25 August 2025.
President of Afrika Mayibuye Movement Floyd Shivambu is adamant that there’s no crisis in the party.
This is despite some members resigning. First Deputy President Robert Nwendo and two Deputy Secretaries resigned from the party recently.
Shivambu says the three members could not perform party duties because they have other commitments.
“We do not have a crisis in at Afrika Mayibuye movement. We have had the resignation of the Deputy President, Robert Nwedo, who is also the president of MAWUSA. He held a press conference to indicate that he resigned because he wants to focus on MAWUSA.”
“He couldn’t perform those functions and that is what he clarified and the two Deputy Secretary Generals that have resigned, they resigned because they were not available for organisational work. ”
