Search underway for missing helicopter crew in Kruger National Park

Authorities in Mpumalanga say they are searching for a missing helicopter.

They say there are four people on board the aircraft.

They were on a routine operation inside the Kruger National Park.

A pilot, two SAPS investigators, and an Environmental Crime Investigator were on board.

A preliminary report indicates that the team departed in the morning, at around 9 am on Monday and did not return as anticipated.

Efforts to establish communication with the helicopter crew yielded no results due to a poor signal.

It’s suspected that the helicopter could have been flying low.

All attempts to reach them via their mobile phones and other means have been unsuccessful.
