People wait to cross a bridge that was flooded
Police divers have resumed their search for four people who were swept away in flood-affected areas in separate incidents in Limpopo.
A five- year-old boy, Siyanda Baloyi, was swept away in Mbaula village outside Giyani when his home got flooded on Thursday.
Lindelani Munyai was swept away when he attempted to cross a submerged bridge over the swollen Mutale River.

Two people travelling in a bakkie were also swept away while attempting to cross a submerged bridge in Tswinga village.

Police spokesperson Hlulani Mashaba says two of the incidents happened outside Thohoyandou.
βThe South African Police Service and the supporting agencies are continuing with the search and rescue operations in Mutale river where Lindelani Munyai was swept away due to heavy rain. We are also conducting the same operation in Tswinga village Vhembe district where a South African and Somalian national were also swept away due to heavy floods. The same operation is also ongoing at Mbaula village outside Giyani Mopani district trying to locate a missing five-year-old boy Siyanda Baloyi, we wish to call upon the public to resist the temptation to cross rivers.β
