The two soldiers were swept away when they attempted to cross a bridge on the Komati River on Christmas Day to head to the Lebombo border post.
The bridge had been submerged after the river burst its banks following heavy rains.
Minister of Defence & Military Veterans, Angie Motshekga, arrived in Komatipoort, Mpumalanga, on Tuesday to pay her respects to the families of the soldiers.
