Rain drops seen.
The South African Weather Service says scattered thundershowers are expected to continue across Gauteng over the next few days. Localised flooding is also expected in low-lying areas.
Motorists and residents are urged to be cautious whilst driving as well as walking near streams and rivers.
Forecaster Lehlohonolo Thobela says, “For tonight we are expecting widespread thundershowers over Gauteng with a yellow level 4 warning for rain expected to lead to some localised flooding in some areas, and for tomorrow we are expecting orange level 5 over most parts of Gauteng of disruptive rain and localised flooding, and with that, you can expect some interruptions as people travel for tomorrow.”

Yellow Level 5 warning
The City of Tshwane’s Emergency Services department is calling on communities to remain alert following a Yellow Level 5 warning issued for disruptive rain, from this evening. The disruptive rain is expected to persist until Tuesday.
Tshwane Emergency Services spokesperson, Lindsay Mnguni says, “The impact of disruptive rain, which may be accompanied by widespread showers and thundershowers that will produce heavy rainfall and may include the following: the elevated risk of localised flooding, especially of susceptible low-lying areas, informal settlements and susceptible roads. Disruptions to traffic due to major roads being flooded. • minor to major vehicle accidents due to poor driving visibility and slippery road conditions.”
