Saul urges ANC unity ahead of local elections

Northern Cape Premier Zamani Saul has called on African National Congress (ANC) supporters and members to unite to ensure the party emerges victorious in the upcoming local government elections.

He was the keynote speaker at the 114th ANC celebrations in Colesberg. The anniversary is celebrated under the theme, “Year of decisive action to fix local government and transform the economy”.

Saul admitted that the party is not doing well and has called for unity to ensure that the party becomes victorious.

He told those who gathered at the event that the ANC belongs to them.

“This ANC does not belong to Cyril Ramaphosa and Fikile Mbalula. This ANC doesn’t belong to Zamani and Deshi. This ANC belongs to the ordinary people who support it and are its members. Not an organisation of leaders. So, if we always have this attitude of always thinking that we own this organisation, then it is a wrong attitude.”
