SAPS says disciplinary processes underway against Sergeant Nkosi

Acting Police Deputy National Commissioner for Support Services, Lineo Nkhuoa, says disciplinary processes are underway against Sergeant Fannie Nkosi following his testimony before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry in Pretoria.

It emerged during the proceedings that Nkosi allegedly worked with alleged criminal cartel leaders including Vusimuzi “CAT” Matlala and Katiso “KT” Molefe.

Nkhoua says the South African Police Service (SAPS) has pledged to introduce reforms within the police service.

“We are all shocked with what was revealed at the Madlanga Commission as far as Sergeant Nkosi’s testimony is concerned, and once again, our disciplinary processes are unfolding in terms of, you know, Sergeant Nkosi, and yes, we will reclaim our space. I think we’ll take this opportunity as a way of transforming the SAPS and introducing certain reforms. I think we are in a bad state now, but we will redeem ourselves.”
