SAPS probe the death of a six-year-old girl found in a pit toilet

Police in Limpopo are investigating the death of a six-year-old girl in Nkuzani village in the Collins Chabane Local Municipality in Limpopo.

The girl’s body was found floating in a pit toilet on Friday.

According to reports, a group of children was playing when the girl went missing.

Police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba says a massive search was launched after her mother noticed that the daughter had disappeared.

“Moments later, her mother noticed that the daughter had disappeared, and a massive search was immediately launched until she was discovered floating inside a toilet pit. The girl was taken out from the pit and rushed to a Medical Health Center, but she was certified dead on arrival.”
