This was announced at the 2025 Brand Africa Awards in Johannesburg on Friday evening.

SABC GCEO Nomsa Chabeli says the award is very important for the public broadcaster, as it is a culmination of efforts by very resilient and dedicated employees.
“SABC is a media organisation that is a cornerstone of South Africa’s media ecosystem and this recognition puts to the fore the criticality of the institution in shaping South African stories,” adds Chabeli.
