Deputy Minister of Transport Mkhuleko Hlengwa has called on the country’s youth to seize opportunities in the logistics and transport sector.
Hlengwa was speaking at the inaugural Cross-Border Road Transport Agency Micro Small and Medium (MSME) Conference in Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape.
The meeting aims to empower cross-border freight operators by focusing on growth strategies, compliance and operational efficiency in the logistics industry.
“The seventh administration is identified the logistics and transport sector, as of the key enablers for achieving sustainable and inclusive economic growth in our country. We are committed to a reform process that seeks to revitalize the sector whilst also contributing to the social imperative of the transformation of our society,” says Hlengwa.

The purposes of this conference surely resonate with that commitment and the founding preamble of the Cross-Border Road Transport Act, Act 4 of 1998 as amended, in which the Agency is committed to empower the cross-border road transport industry to maximise business opportunities pic.twitter.com/bhQ9kg9pni
